Kellie Martin is an American TV, film and stage actress. Her most notable roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) on the drama of the same name Christy"; Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". Also, she is known for appearing in the titular role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher, Martin began her acting career at the young age of seven years old when her aunt who was the nanny of Michael Landon's children assisted her in landing an appearance in the 1982 show "Father Murphy.". After graduating at Yale University she began to become serious about acting and landed roles on the small and large screen. Apart from being an actor, Martin is a skilled photographer, as well as a ballet dancer. The mother of two daughters and a son, she is also the Lupus spokesperson and spreads awareness of the illness daily since the loss of her sister at the age of 19.
